Malaysia’s 11th GBS Asia Awards 2021 - Digital Edition - Operational Excellence in IT

OM hosted the 11th GBS Asia Awards 2021 –to recognize the outstanding achievements of top companies and individuals. The second digital edition of OM conducted with great success was well represented and attended by the industry leaders.

Avows received special recognition for constructing and launching a public sector project to maintain infrastructure and assets for the society with public participation. Avows led this digital transformation project by not only creating a completely digital and mobile platform, but also imbibed the long-term wish-list of the state in its design principles, to manage and measure the operations delivered through the implementation and launching an extendable product with continuously growing road map.

The implementation delivers and tracks the service in time through a democratic process of citizens’ participation to report any maintenance issue digitally – where the incident has happened and needs attention. It provides the prediction model for operations team to plan the resources and spares to carry out maintenance work covering 1000 kilometers of highway to complete the job in shortest time.

“We were able to complete our requirement workshops with users and operations groups just before the lock down. We also used the work from opportunity to use the hours saved on travel to deliver the product in expected time frame while using all the collaboration tools available to us”, said Anand Kancharia, Program Director.
